WHAT a refreshing change it was to see New Zealand draw with Italy yesterday.
The game's so-called stars could learn a thing or two from the All Whites.
Whereas the likes of Italy, Brazil, The Ivory Coast and Portugal have spent their time diving, moaning and trying to get fellow professionals sent off, New Zealand played the game the way it should be played.
With the inhouse fighting going on with England and France as well, it is hard not to be a little disullusioned with what we have seen in South Africa so far.
Football is meant to be the beautiful game. It has been pretty ugly so far.
Fair enough Brazil played some nice stuff yesterday but not before rolling around the floor under little contact.
How could Kaka moan about getting the same treatment from the Ivorians later on?
New Zealand may not have the same ability as the tournament's big guns but, when you see lion hearted displays like the one Ryan Nelsen gave on Sunday, you can't help wishing some of our own 'big time charlies' could do the same.
