RIBBLESDALE League top dogs Baxenden are ready to battle for their advantage at the summit of the table – but are well aware that every team can cause an upset.
The reigning champions and title favourites have an eight-point lead over Clitheroe in what appears to be turning into a three-horse race for glory.
But experienced Baxenden batsman Mark Rishton is well aware that nothing can be taken for granted, espec-ially as Read, who went to the top of the table last month after a win at Bash, are now in third after three defeats on the spin.
“I think being realistic it is between us, Clitheroe and Read,” said Rishton, right.
“We have that little bit of a gap but nothing is won yet.
“The league is much tighter than it has been before and I think every team has the big result in them on their day.”
