Cherry Tree are fourth and looking good – and they recorded another win as they passed Settle’s big total of 264-5 with an over to spare at Preston Old Road.
Settle’s former professional Brent Findlay, who is now playing as an amateur for the Marshfield outfit, was agonisingly run out on 99 after hitting 11 fours and six sixes, while Tom Davidson made 50 as the Yorkshiremen posted a daunting target.
But Cherry Tree are capable of chasing down anything when in form and professional Paul Turner made 83 not out to steer them to victory.
Turner, who faced just 59 balls, was aided by Mark Hadfield (47), Scott Friend (39) and Joe Bolton and Mark Friend (both 32) on another day of fine batting.
