ACCRINGTON boss John Coleman will target a central defender after hinting that Dean Winnard is likely to remain at left back next season.
Stanley last week lost centre back Darran Kempson to Grimsby but have agreed a deal to sign 19-year-old Blackburn left back Michael Hall.
That prompted suggestions that Winnard would move to the centre with Hall taking his place on the left side of defence.
But Hall has no first-team experience and Coleman said: “He’s a left back who has been at Blackburn and is someone we’ve got hopes will be a good player for us.
“Dean can play in the centre but he has been at left back. We can’t say he’ll be replacing Darran. I’m still looking for a centre back.”
