BLACKBURN Rovers starlet Junior Hoilett is closing in on committing his international future to Canada, although no final decision has yet been made.
The 20-year-old winger is eligible for Jamaica and Canada, or could even choose to wait to qualify for England, but the signs are he is ready to give his birth country a chance.
His dad and agent David Hoilett senior, said: “We are happy with the direction in which the national programme in Canada is heading at the moment.
“Some of the concerns that we had, and had expressed in the pass are being addressed, such as an increase in the quaility and quantity of exhibition games that are played and the style of play.
“Junior has not 100 per cent decided as yet, but would consider attending a training camp in the near future to get an inside perspective of the programme both present and future.”
