ANWAR Ali bowled Colne into the Worsley Cup semi-finals as he claimed four more cheap wickets to see off the Accrington threat at The Horsfield.

The Pakistani pace ace claimed 4-27 as Colne made it three wins on the spin in all competitions and their dreadful start is a fading memory.

And they were always in control against Accrington after Matthew Wilson top scored with 53. Jeff Ellis (40) and Ryan Procter made 28 as Colne posted 208 all out.

Paul Carroll was the leading bowler with 3-27 from his 10 overs and Accrington felt confident as they replied.

But Carroll was sent back by Ali second ball and while Will Driver (52) and Simon Hanson (33) scored good runs, Accrington never really got on top.

And when Ali returned for a second spell, he mopped up the tail to seal victory.
