MANAGER of the season John Coleman has praised the part his players had in his latest accolade.
The Accrington Stanley boss, who was named manager of the season from all the contenders in the Nationwide Conference, Conference North and Conference South at an awards ceremony on Saturday, said he couldn't have done it without the hard work his players put in all term.
"This award's for the whole team," Coleman said.
"You don't get a good manager without good players.
"You can't make bad players into good players. Good players are the ones who make good managers in my eyes."
And Coleman said Ian Craney deserved to be named Conference player of the season, as voted for by all Conference managers.
"I think he's the only player to win the UniBond and Conference player awards and that's credit to him."
But while Coleman said the management and players were still riding high on the back of winning the Conference, he stressed the importance of looking to their future in Coca Cola League Two.
"It's nice to take the plaudits and enjoy the celebrations, and this will still be going on until we get back for pre-season training," he said.
"We've enjoyed our time in the limelight but we've got to get down to business and look ahead."
