EAST Lancs recorded a seven-wicket win over Church in the opening game of the Lancashire League's Twenty20 tournament.
Church ended their innings on 132-6 Nick Westwell top-scoring with 32.
But East Lancs reached their target in comfortable fashion for the loss of just three wickets in under 19 overs.
There are five games tonight in what is a new format for the competition.
Instead of a straight knockout, the 14 teams have been divided into three groups, with the group winners and the team with the best run rate going through to the semi-finals.
Bacup name their strongest line-up for the clash with Haslingden, who have Andy Clough making his debut.
Burnley have all players available for the clash with Nelson, where Marcus Phelan replaces Billy Jamil.
Dave Swarbrick misses out for Colne in their match-up with Lowerhouse, while Ramsbottom are without Chris Eardley and Mark Dentith against Rawtenstall. The visitors bring in Rizwan Shafiq.
Enfield will be without the experienced Andy Barker for the game against Rishton.
The final will be in July.
