A BLACKBURN Rovers player had an appeal against a driving ban thrown out.
Aaron Mokoena was disqualified from driving for a year by Blackburn magistrates last month.
The punishment came after he was caught driving his BMW Coupe to the Rovers training complex in Brockhall while disqualified.
The court heard that he had originally been banned from driving after failing to take a breath test when he was stopped by police in Macclesfield.
His solicitor told Blackburn magistrates last month that the South African international drove while disqualified because he was confused about the law.
As well as the ban, he was fined £1,500 and £65 costs.
A judge at Preston Crown Court upheld that decision and dismissed the appeal.
Mokoena, who plays in defence or midfield, joined Rovers from a Belgium side in January 2004.
