ALI Azmat flayed the VEKA Ribblesdale League bowlers two days running as Earby staked a double claim on the senior division title.
Azmat smashed 138 in just 89 balls against Barnoldswick yesterday to follow his 116 against Baxenden 24 hours earlier.
It was a remarkable show of big hitting as his Sunday best contained 15 sixes and six fours.
Azmat's 81-ball innings on Saturday contained 11 sixes and eight fours. It all added up to back to back victories for the Applegarth side.
Earby beat Barnoldswick by 34 runs just for good measure Azmat took 5-57 from 12.4 overs and Baxenden by 58 runs.
If it was a weekend to remember for Azmat and Earby, it was one to forget for Ribblesdale Wanderers who started the weekend as league leaders.
However, the Church Meadow side came unstuck in both matches. They were on the wrong end of a one wicket defeat to Whalley who scraped past the home team's total of 156-boosted by Joe Scuderi's 57- with 157-9.
John Rain contributed an invaluable 52 while pro Bradman Ediriweera made 40 to go with his 4-31.
Yesterday's defeat was more one-sided. Wanderers were bowled out for just 95 at Chatburn Road.
And Clitheroe achieved their second weekend success with only two wickets down; Shahid Nawaz hitting 61 not out in the reply of 98-2.
Clitheroe are certainly running into form. Padiham posted 168-8 at the Arbories but Clitheroe batted soundly to pass their total with six wickets still standing.
