ACCRINGTON are in confident mood going into the first of two Bank Holiday weekend showdowns with Burnley.

Matt Wilson's side entertain Burnley in the Worsley Cup tomorrow before travelling to Turf Moor for the Inter League Challenge Trophy tie on Monday.

And captain Wilson has his eyes firmly fixed on the prize.

"We'll be unchanged and looking to go out and win," he said. "We want to win every game we play."

Burnley will pick from a squad of 12 for the weekend's fixtures.

And captain Jonathan Harvey is hoping to get that vital first win under their belts to kickstart their season.

He said: "Their pro's been on fire so far but we have to back ourselves. We know we've got a good side and it's just a matter of getting it right on the day."

ENFIELD'S vision of doing the double has not wavered, despite their frustration at the poor weather conditions.

The Dill Hall Lane side are still waiting to complete a home fixture this season after having their previous attempts washed out.

But they are hoping that will change as they entertain Church at the second time of asking in the Worsley Cup, after last week's scheduled fixture was a complete non-starter, along with the rest of the ties.

However, Enfield captain David Bracewell admits the game could be in jeopardy even without any further rainfall.

"The track is under water at the minute so it will be all hands on deck," he said.

The West Enders are out for revenge as they take on their local rivals.

The Dill Hall Laners handed Phil Sykes' side a solid beating earlier in the season and the skipper is keen to put things right.

He said: "Enfield out-played us in the last game so we have an opportunity to make a better fist of things. The Worsley Cup is the showpiece of the Lancashire League and the trophy everybody wants to win and we're no different."

Ryan North and Mark Gilraine replace Phil Gilraine and Barry Shorrock.

RISHTON bring in Andrew Bartley and Garth Wyse for their clash with Haslingden.

Rishton handed the Bentgate side a sound beating and Tama Canning and his team will be looking to put that right tomorrow with their strongest side out.

LOWERHOUSE will put their faith in youth when they entertain Rawtenstall.

With injuries to Jon Finch and Chris Benbow, and the loss of Vishal Tripathi to rivals Burnley, the club has called on their youngsters to step up.

Ben Heap, Bharat Tripathi, Scott Hope, Joe Hawke and Phil Haggerty have all benefited from the youth system at Liverpool Road, and will all play in tomorrow's Worsley Cup clash.

Rawtenstall chairman Brian Payne is banking on his side's all-round ability to come good in the cup at Lowerhouse.

He said: "With five front line bowlers and three more who can come in, we have a good all-round team that is well suited to the cup competition."

John Hayman returns to the starting line up as Will Cook Martin has withdrawn through injury.

John Lambert comes in to the starting line-up as Colne's fifth bowler for the trip to cup holders Ramsbottom.

Sid Sheraz also plays but Aron Pollard makes way to accommodate the extra bowler.

Captain, David Swarbrick, said: "I think whoever wins this game could go on and lift the trophy. It will be tough for us but I have no worries about playing them so early in the competition."

Richard Hevingham leaves Toby McLean out of the side.

BACUP have no injury worries ahead of their trip to Todmorden.

Captain John Chapman, who returns as wicketkeeper after breaking a finger, said: "The cup is very important for us. We've won it six times, and that's a tradition we want to keep up."

David Warren retains his place in the side as the extra bowler.

Todmorden are unchanged.
