BURNLEY keeper Danny Coyne is confident he will be fit and ready for the new season.
The Wales international has been out of action since September last year after damaging his cruciate and medial collateral ligament after falling awkwardly against Brighton.
Following intensive surgery, Coyne has been going through rehabilitation and insists he will be fighting fit when the players meet up for pre-season training on June 30.
The news will be a huge boost to Clarets boss Steve Cotterill who will be overjoyed to have Coyne back and challenging Brian Jenson for the position of the Clarets' number one jersey.
Coyne told the Telegraph: "It's been frustrating. I'd just got back to playing and I was playing well. But it's just one of those things that happen in football and you have to get on with it.
"It's been hard work and a frustrating time for me but I'm looking forward. I've been positive and I've had more good days than bad so I'm looking forward to getting back into training with the lads in pre-season."
He added: "The rehab is going really well. My knee is getting stronger by the day and I'm diving around and getting use to the impact of hitting the ground again.
"It'll be stronger than ever by the time pre-season comes around again."
