ACCRINGTON Stanley look set to kick off their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Burnley.
Just a day after revealing the Reds will entertain fellow neighbours Blackburn Rovers, the club confirmed Steve Cotterill's Clarets will visit the newly-named Fraser Eagle Stadium on July 8.
And Stanley chief executive Rob Heys is pleased with how their pre-season programme, which also includes home games against Bradford City and Blackpool, is taking shape.
"They are four big sides all bringing strong teams, so obviously that's important as well," he said.
"People like to see the big teams so it's important from a fan's point of view as well as financially.
"There are always one or two trialists or new signings on show, which goes for both sides.
"I would imagine the Burnley one will be our opener."
