ACCRINGTON Stanley will prepare for life in the Football League with a prestigious friendly against Blackburn Rovers.
The Premiership side, who have just achieved their highest league finish since winning the title in 1995 to earn a place in the UEFA Cup next term, will play at the newly named Fraser Eagle Stadium on July 19.
And even though it is only the day before Mark Hughes' takes his squad away on a pre-season tour, the Rovers chairman has promised to field a strong squad.
"John Williams has told us that all the big names will be involved so that it helps us to sell tickets," said Stanley chairman Eric Whalley, who is also waiting to finalise a date for their pre-arranged friendly at home to Burnley.
