STRAP yourselves in everybody silly season is almost upon us!
If you've been watching the television or reading the papers, you'll have noticed that a lot of the Premiership clubs are starting to release players and you can guarantee there'll be a lot of movement when the transfer window opens on June 1.
And I'm sure Steve Cotterill has his eye on a few targets.
Last year, he trotted around the globe to get his men and I doubt if he'll get much of a holiday this time around.
He's already brought Steve Jones in but I'd like to see a few more additions.
I think Chris Sutton could do a good job for us as a short-term player. I think he's still got the quality and could be an asset for us in the next couple of years.
And then there's Matt Jansen who's been released by Bolton. He has a quality left foot and I think a club like Burnley would suit as he's looking to re-build his career.
It's that sort of player that would improve Burnley.
You only have to look at Watford to see how quickly a team can change from an average team to one on the brink of the Premiership.
And I fancy Aidy Boothroyd's side to beat Leeds at the Millennium Stadium.
I won a few quid from some of the lads at the club because I backed both Leeds and Watford to make it through their respective semi-finals.
And I reckon it'll be Watford who go all the way, because of one little word. Quality.
They have it throughout the team and they look better suited to life in the top flight.
And it's quality we need to bring into our side to improve us as a unit.
But I'm sure Steve is all to aware of what he needs to do.
It's his third year in charge and he's in the middle of another re-building job.
I, for one, am looking forward to seeing who comes into Turf Moor.
Expect another exciting summer folks!
