IT WAS a record-breaking afternoon at Thorneyholme Road on Saturday as ACCRINGTON pro Nishit Shetty helped his side to an emphatic win over RAWTENSTALL.
The Indian star hit a magnificent 173 for the hosts as they piled up a club record 341-5 - beating the previous best set in 1913 - and is the second highest ever in the league.
Shetty's knock, the second highest in the club's history, owed to some generous fielding as he was put down on a couple of occasions.
A revised total of 290 in 40 overs proved far too big for the visitors as they were bowled out for 195 with Shetty taking 3-28 and Zahir Afzal followed up his 59 with 2-60.
COLNE pro Mahendra Nagamootoo put in another spectacular performance with the ball as he bowled his team to victory over hapless Burnley.
Vishal Tripathi (72) and Jonathan Clare (49) put on 127 for the second wicket but Burnley collapsed from 156-1 to 212 all out.
The West Indian, who took 8-24 in his first game of the season last week against Rishton, took 6-61 - including four wickets in four overs for four runs - a spell that tore the Burnley batting apart.
Burnley's Jonathan Harvey took four wickets and Michael Kelly took three but they couldn't stop Colne taking the win thanks to 59 from Matt Wilson.
Craig Fergusson's career-best 95 helped ENFIELD to a win over his old side CHURCH and help keep them top of the league.
Paid man Ruvin Peiris made 109 but the rest of the batting failed as Church were bowled out for 194.
And chasing a revised total of 188, Fergusson and pro Alviro Petersen (52) put on 102 for the second wicket as Enfield cruised to a seven-wicket win.
RISHTON stay joint top with Enfield as they eased to an eight-wicket win over Haslingden.
Rishton pro, South African Vernon Philander, took 4-63 as Haslingden were restricted to 179.
Openers John Cordingley (72) and Shaun Wyse (51) put on 125 for the first wicket as they chased a revised total of 177 and got to their target with ease.
Robin Peterson took 7-41 and hit a half-century as NELSON scored a crushing nine-wicket win over champions LOWERHOUSE.
The South African spinner helped to restrict the champions to just 131 with Martin Heap taking his 300th wicket in his 3-48.
Petersen (78 not out) and Khurram Nazir (48 not out) put on a second wicket stand of 134 as Nelson eased to victory.
TODMORDEN skipper Stuart Priestley led from the front as his side overcame BACUP.
Priestley hit an unbeaten 74 as his side won by seven wickets.
Earlier, Peter Thompson made 61 and professional Chris Cairns 51 as Bacup made 185-7.
But Priestley's knock helped Todmorden make their revised target of 157 in 37 overs.
David Pearson's 88 couldn't stop EAST LANCS slipping to their third defeat of the season against RAMSBOTTOM.
Pearson's innings was the mainstay of East Lancs' 164 but chasing a target of 147 in 43 overs, Keith Webb's 33, 31 from Chris Read and 29 from professional Sunil Joshi saw Ramsbottom pick up a three-wicket win.
