BEING on holiday with one game of the season still to go is the strangest feeling. But it's testament to how hard the lads have worked for nine months that they can relax and enjoy this break together before we bow out of the Nationwide Conference on Saturday.
Getting our hands on the trophy last Saturday brought home everything that we have achieved. And it was hugely appropriate that we were able to lap up those celebrations after another win.
The stage that was set up for us was great, and although we were disappointed not to pack the place out for our presentation, we'll still take fantastic memories away from the fans who were there to share it all with us.
Sunday was another incredible day with us being cheered through the streets of Accrington on the open-top bus. Obviously it wasn't quite on the scale of Liverpool's homecoming with the Champions League trophy, but the turn-out at the town hall was great.
Then on Monday we jetted off to Portugal en masse to continue our celebrations on the Algarve.
My preparations for the trip weren't without their complications after passport fiasco, but my fortunes soon picked up when we bumped into Charlton's Francis Jeffers.
Cooky and I challenged him and his friend to a round of golf on Monday and Tuesday, with the winners having their food and drinks paid for by the losers.
Suffice to say, me and Cooky didn't spend a euro for two days!
Speaking of Cooky, he deserve a massive turn-out for his testimonial game next Tuesday at the Interlink Express Stadium.
He's had a fantastic career and has been a major part in us going up as champions.
But, before that, we'll be aiming to sign off from the Conference with a win at Kidderminster on Saturday with our batteries recharged after a long, hard but enjoyable season.
We're still in party mode til we fly home tomorrow though.
After all, it's not every day you win the title ... just three times in seven years!
