CONFIDENCE, anxiety, elation and pride is an intoxicating mix of emotions that isn't for the faint hearted.
But they're just some of the feelings that were pumping through me at Woking last Saturday.
Parts of that amazing weekend have become a bit of a blur because it was a lot to take in. But we will get the chance to relive it all when we are presented with the Conference trophy on Saturday.
Somehow I knew we would end up champions last weekend but that didn't stop me getting twitchy bum' syndrome for the last 20 minutes.
I was like a caged tiger on the touchline because we had started to look tired, we'd missed a couple of chances and they were getting on top. Plus the two penalties didn't do anything for my nerves either, and we ended up under a bit of pressure.
So there was immense relief when the referee blew his final whistle.
I remember my instinct was to run onto the pitch. But I got about 10 yards and quickly back-tracked because I have a lot of respect for Woking manager Glenn Cockerill and his staff.
We have built up a good relationship with them in recent years and I shook his hand and wished them all the best for the FA Trophy final.
Then it was a case of soaking up the atmosphere and celebrations with a sea of supporters and players.
I'm made up we won it of our own accord and the 500 or so fans that were there to see it were absolutely magnificent.
I just wish there would have been more of them because it's a special piece of history for Accrington, and football in general.
For me, winning it with my best friend makes the whole thing more special. We've come a long way in the last seven years.
I'm proud of the lads, proud of what me and John and Cooky, and all the staff, have achieved.
We want to pack the Interlink Express Stadium out on Saturday for when we get the trophy and keep the celebrations going.
Then on Sunday we'll be on the open top bus around Accrington. I hope the weather stays fine because the lads deserve a nice day.
The fans have got better and better as the season has drawn to a close and it would be really fitting if we had a fantastic turn-out.
