DAVID Brown is looking to increase his goals tally after playing his part in a Reds revival on Saturday.
Accrington Stanley twice trailed against York City. But, on the back of their 2-0 defeat at lowly Southport last Tuesday - ending a run of 20 games unbeaten - they showed great character to record a 4-2 win against the in-form Minstermen.
Brown held his nerve to score his 10th goal of the season, getting Stanley back on level terms at 2-2 from the penalty spot.
From there, leading scorer Paul Mullin went on to grab his second of the game, while Ian Craney wrapped up the win in the 72nd minute.
"I'm looking for as many goals as I can from now to the end of the season," said Brown, who has been in and out of the starting line-up this term, which is something he admits he has found frustrating at times.
"I did start off very well then got an injury against Forest Green.
"To be fair to the lads they've done ever so well since then and kept winning games, and to be fair to the gaffer he can't really change a team when they're winning.
"It's a tough one. I'm not really happy sitting on the bench but you understand why you're sitting on the bench when you're top of the league and playing so well.
"But now I'm back in the team and scoring goals, so hopefully I'll stay in there til the end of the season and get a few more."
