BLACKBURN Rovers' chairman John Williams today called for one last push' as the club enters the final straight in the race to qualify for Europe.
With just seven games of the season remaining, Rovers are perfectly placed to secure a top six finish and a possible place in the Champions League.
And Williams believes this is the time when Mark Hughes and his players need the fans to become the team's extra man' as they make a dash for the finishing line.
"Our fans have been fantastic this season and this is the time when they can really make a difference as the battle for European places hots up," said Williams.
"We've got seven games left, four of which are at a home, and if we keep on picking up results like we have been doing then we've got a great chance of achieving our goals.
"At the moment, we've got 52 points from 31 games and I've no reason to believe we won't continue to keep on picking up points at the rate we have been doing.
"If we do that then we'll go very close to where we want to be at the end of the season.
"Everyone at the club - the manager, his backroom staff, the players and the board - would love to get back into Europe and, preferably, we want to do that without having to enter the Intertoto Cup.
"It's been a great season so far and finishing in the top six would be the icing on the cake."
As things stand, Rovers are currently picking up an average of 1.7 points per game and a similar ratio over the last seven games would see them finish on a total of 64, which has been enough to secure Champions League qualification in each of the last two seasons, and four of the last 10.
Of the four sides in contention for fourth place, Rovers also appear to have the best run-in on paper, with four of their remaining seven games at fortress Ewood, where they have won 11 of their 15 Premiership matches so far this season.
Two of their remaining three away games are also against sides in the Premiership's relegation zone.
