RAMSBOTTOM UNITED face a blank weekend after their game against Atherton Collieries was shunted back two days - on police advice!
Atherton LR are also at home on Saturday afternoon, forcing Collieries to shift their kick off to Monday evening and avoid stretching police resources.
Disbelieving Rams boss Lee Sculpher said: "We've known about this for a long time, but I still don't think we can quite believe it.
"If it was Manchester United and City at home on the same day I could perhaps understand it, but it's incredible that a North West Counties League game has to be moved!"
For the record, Atherton Collieires' average home attendance is 65, while LR are averaging just 56.
