BURNLEY Football Club have put families at the forefront of their season ticket campaign for the 2006/07 season.
The Jimmy McIlroy Upper Stand is to be relaunched with a bright new concourse and a host of pre-match activities aimed at attracting families back to Turf Moor.
No tickets will be sold to individuals or groups who do not include at least one under 16 member, while other initiatives include frozen season ticket prices for families buying their seats together in the Jimmy McIlroy upper tier, pre-match appearances by players, regular monthly activities and a free replica shirt for all under 8s.
Existing adult Jimmy McIlroy Stand season ticket holders wishing to move away from the junior fun can take advantage of a one season only special offer of £20 off James Hargreaves Stand or Bob Lord Stand season tickets.
Elsewhere, the most expensive season ticket prices, in the James Hargreaves Upper Stand, have been frozen at 2005/06 prices.
In doing so prices elsewhere will increase slightly as part of a review of the overall pricing policy, ensuring that all season ticket holders receive the same number of free' games, irrespective of location.
All adult season ticket holders will now receive the equivalent of five free games, while senior citizens get nine and juniors an impressive 14.
This will be achieved by raising the Bob Lord Stand season tickets to the same level as the James Hargreaves Upper (£379 discounted and then £441 post-discount).
Adult match day prices for both areas will increase to £21, a rise of £1 in the James Hargreaves Upper Stand and £2 in the Bob Lord Stand (£1 for concessions).
Burnley have also announced several changes to the pricing policy for match day tickets.
The controversial ticketing surcharge introduced this season and later withdrawn following anger from some supporters, has now been scrapped, with match day prices in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand frozen to ensure affordable access on a match-by-match basis to those who cannot afford a season ticket.
A new student membership scheme also means students are now able to watch from the Jimmy McIlroy Lower at concession prices.
All season tickets go on sale on March 31 and the discount prices apply until the cut-off date of April 29.
