BLACKBURN Hawks have no time to dwell on missing out on the English National Hockey League title.
Hawks are looking to put last week's bitter disappointment behind them and get back to winning ways in their double header of games this weekend.
The Arena stars fell to Billingham Bombers last Sunday, a heartbreaking defeat that saw them hand over the league title to the Bombers on the final night of the campaign.
Hawks kick off the weekend with a tie against Flintshire Freeze in the return of the M65 Cup at the Arena tonight (face off 6pm).
The cup, played over two legs between the two rivals, was dropped several years ago, but has been re-introduced this season.
Assistant manager Graham Lomax is hoping the cup will be a gift to the fans for all their support He said: "The fans have been fantastic for us this season. They love to watch games between Flintshire and ourselves, they are always very exciting games with an element of pride to them."
Hawks switch across to the English Cup tomorrow for their fixture with Whitley Warriors.
"We are top of the group for the English Cup and now that the league has finished it has become our main priorit," said Lomax.
"Whitley are in a bit of a bad patch, so we will be hoping to get back on track and put ourselves in a good position to win the cup.
"The game also counts as points for the Northern Crossover Cup so it is twice as important.
"Everyone at the club wants to win some silverware so we want to do well tomorrow to get us on our way."
