ACCRINGTON Stanley manager John Coleman refuses to admit that the Conference title is a one-horse race.

The Reds saw their lead at the top of the table reduced to 13 points following wins for Hereford and Halifax last night, after they had extended it to 16 points for 24 hours with a 2-0 win over closest rivals Morecambe on Monday night.

But although Coleman's side still have games in hand on promotion contenders Halifax, Stevenage and Morecambe, he reckons there could be pressure on them in the run-in.

"It's a magnificent lead to have, but I won't be saying we've done it," he said.

"I still think Hereford will have a say in it.

"I'd like to get 90 points, because I think if you get 90 points and someone gets 91, you'd have to pat them on the back and say they've had a great season as well as us.

"If we get 90 points, whatever happens, if we don't win the league, I couldn't have asked any more from any of my players.

"But we've not got to worry about anything but trying to get enough points to win the league.

"As each game goes by it's one less for teams to catch us."
