YOUNG Blackburn Hawks netminder David Clancy is distraught as his side were beaten to the league title in a winner takes all shootout last night.
The Hawks travelled to Billingham, needing a win to claim their first ever title.
If Billingham won, they would win the championship instead - it was that close.
And the home side were always on top, winning the match 7-3.
