WHAT a fantastic crowd we had on last Saturday. And for that I think we owe a big thank you to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
The We're Back Stanley' campaign has been a big push by the paper to encourage the town to get behind the team, and it's made a difference so quickly.
I was one of the first to get my car sticker and special red Telegraph at the ground before the Dagenham game. And to see over 2000 fans backing us was superb.
Hopefully they will all stay with us for the rest of the ride because they saw a very good performance, considering the lads were under a bit of pressure to get a result after getting knocked out of the FA Trophy.
We just wanted the win more than anything, and I thought we played really well up to when we scored.
Rob Elliot made two or three great saves after that when the nerves were a bit jangly and it was a little bit backs to the wall at the end.
I'm expecting a tighter game tomorrow night at Gravesend and Northfleet because they are on a really good run at the moment.
It's a difficult place to go to at the best of times, but we are still more suited to away games. We've got quality going forward with young, energetic lads who break very quickly, there's a little less expectation from the fans and I reckon we'll just sneak it.
A win there would be a great way to go into the Morecambe game on Monday night, and we've got an extra day's rest on them too with them being at home to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
I'd love us to get an even bigger crowd on Monday, even though the game's live on television. With only six home games left there's bound to be a snowball effect because everyone will want to be a part of this now, which gives the players a buzz.
Earlier on in the season playing at home was a bit depressing, especially when we dropped to a gate of under 1000 for the Woking game.
It did get to the players, but we told them to just concentrate on their own performance and the crowds would come.
