LIVERPOOL chief executive Rick Parry has reassured fans the club is doing everything it can to re-schedule their match against Blackburn, which falls on the 17th anniversary of Hillsborough.
Relatives of the 96 supporters who died in the 1989 disaster are in talks with the club to change the fixture at Ewood Park on April 15.
The match clashes with the annual memorial service which takes place at Anfield - and is usually attended by the club's players - in memory of those who died as a result of over-crowding in the Leppings Lane end of Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough ground.
"We are looking at moving the game but it is where to. Ideally we will come up with a solution in the next few days," Parry said.
"We have had a lot of co-operation from Blackburn. We are wrestling with all the potential permutations of Champions League games and possible FA Cup replays.
"We are clearly aware it is an important and sensitive issue and we will try to find a solution which will work for everyone.
"Good Friday is clearly a possibility. It is a particularly difficult year with everything being compressed to give four weeks to the international team (for their World Cup preparations)."
Parry added: "We have always said we don't want to play on that date.
"We have to fit in with League and European commitments and thus far we have managed to avoid it."
