MARK Hughes has called a truce with his friend and mentor Sir Alex Ferguson, left, after the pair became involved in a war of words following Rovers' recent victory over Manchester United.
Sparky was left fuming when Fergie angrily accused his side of committing foul after foul after foul' when the two clubs met at Ewood recently.
At one point, Hughes threatened to call Ferguson and have it out with him man-to-man over the phone, but he has since had second thoughts and let the matter drop.
"I decided not to get in touch with Alex last week," said Hughes. "I responded to his comments about my team and he then responded to what I said about him.
"But as far as I'm concerned, that's the end of it."
Asked if he thought the bust-up would have an adverse affect on their relationship, Hughes added: "I don't think so."
