ACCRINGTON Stanley have overcome another obstacle in their quest for League football after inspectors gave the Interlink Express Stadium the thumbs-up.
The inspectors, who took a trip around the stadium on Monday, made a couple of minor demands but otherwise gave Stanley, who lead the Nationwide conference by 10 points with two games in hand over their nearest rivals, the green light.
But the biggest hurdle is still to come, says chairman Eric Whalley, and that's gaining promotion.
He said: "It's positive news as far as the ground goes. They told us as long as we made a couple alterations to the stadium, providing a police control room and a spectator first aid room, then they couldn't see any reason why we couldn't take our place in the Football League if we got promotion.
"That was the easy part. Going up is the hardest bit!"
