STEVE Cotterill was today installed as fifth favourite to land the vacant manager's job at Leicester City.
The Foxes are busy drawing up a shortlist of candidates to replace Craig Levein, who was sacked earlier this week following six straight league defeats.
Early front-runner Gary McAllister has ruled himself out of the running to take over at the Walkers Stadium, leaving old heads Dave Bassett and Peter Reid heading a list drawn up by a Leicester bookmaker.
Former City manager Bassett is priced at 4/1, Reid follows at 5/1 with ex-Blackburn Rovers coach Rob Kelly, and former Foxes favourite Steve Walsh is the surprise third name on the list at 7/1.
Burnley manager Cotterill, who ended the 2003/04 season working as a coach under Micky Adams, follows at 8/1, ahead of Blackpool boss Simon Grayson (10/1), Luton manager Mike Newell (10/1), John Gregory (12/1) and outside bets Steve Claridge and Gary Megson (both 16/1).
Cotterill, who is reportedly unhappy at the sale of star striker Ade Akinbiyi, has under 18 months left on his Burnley contract.
