BRITISH welterweight champion Michael Jennings is hoping to further enhance his growing reputation by beating Young Muttley in Nottingham tomorrow night.
Jennings, making the second defence of his title, will look to do the business in style in front of the ITV cameras and push himself up the world pecking order.
But the Chorley champ is concentrating on doing a god job on Muttley, alias Lee Woodley.
He said: "Training's gone really well and I've had some good sparring. I've been working with sparring partners a bit like Muttley, smaller fighters who throw a lot of hooks, so I'm ready for him.
"And I'll make sure I'm moving well from the first bell. I got caught cold against Bradley Pryce when he put me over in the first so I'll need to make sure I have a good warm-up before I get into the ring.
"This is a big night for me. There'll be about 8,000 in the arena and millions at home watching on TV - especially with Amir Khan on the same bill - so I need to be ready."
But Jennings certainly won't be under-estimating the little-known Muttley despite being an over-whelming favourite for the fight.
He added: "Muttley's made his name on smaller shows and he's been a couple of decent names.
"He's fought a lot at light-welterweight but he has fought at welterweight so he'll be used to fighting at the heavier weight.
"He'll be a dangerous opponent but he hasn't fought anyone of my calibre yet. He's only been as far as 10 rounds once and I've gone 12 on a few occasions now so if I have too I'll take him into some very deep water.
"I'm confident I'll be the champion come Sunday morning."
The Jennings fight will be shown live on ITV4 at 9pm.
