NELSON striker Michael Holt says the Blues have nothing to lose as they face North West Counties League Division Two table-toppers FC United of Manchester tomorrow.
Accrington Stanley's Interlink Express Stadium is the venue for the fixture (kick off 2pm) and Holt is looking for a better outcome than the last time the teams met.
United ran out 5-0 winners in the corresponding fixture in October but Holt said that wasn't a true reflection of the game.
He said: "We had a good few chances in that game but as we pushed forward they caught us on the break and got three goals late on.
"Unfortunately, with the game being played at Stanley it won't be like a home game because of the crowd and the fact they've already played there three times this season.
"But we've nothing to prove to anyone and we can just go out there and do our best."
Holt also reckons promotion was a realistic target.
He added: "Realistically, we're playing for second place. FC United are going to win the league and anyone who thinks otherwise are kidding themselves.
"If we can get something against United then that'll be a bonus but if we can win our two games in hand then we'll be on the heels of Winsford in second.
"And we've got all of the top teams to play so grabbing second place is achievable for us."
Robbie Smith is back in contention after returning from holiday.
