BURNLEY boss Steve Cotterill is calling on his players to do the business away from home as they travel to face Cardiff tomorrow.

It's been two months since the Clarets scored a victory away from Turf Moor but Cotterill is convinced his side are playing well enough to put that right.

He said: "We know if we carry on playing well then results will come, obviously sooner rather than later.

"I'm happy with our football, I'm happy with us creating chances, I'm probably just not happy with both boxes really.

We haven't been finishing in the opposing box and we haven't been tight enough in our box "I don't think there's anything wrong with our home form. You could think that the away form might turn around a little bit because we've played all the big sides away this season."

But Cotterill warned his players to keep their concentration levels high and guard against the kind of slip-ups that have cost them in recent weeks.

He added: "If you look at the few goals we've conceded they've been against the run of play. We perhaps need to concentrate a little bit more when we've got a stranglehold on the game.

"Once you've got a stranglehold on the game, you're fixated on scoring goals. But what happens is you get done with a sucker punch at the other end and that's happened to us a couple of times.

"It's something we spoke about earlier on in the season as well when we were getting beat. We had enough of the ball but then all of a sudden we'd get done at the other end.

"You need to get burned with it a couple of times before the penny finally drops with some of them.

"We want to come away from there making sure Cardiff haven't gone above us in the league and Ade's (Akinbiyi) the top goalscorer in the Championship."

Frank Sinclair has been playing through the pain barrier with a fractured finger but is expected to be fit as is Gifton Noel-Williams.

The big striker suffered bad facial injuries in the Sheffield Wednesday game but is expected to travel.
