DANNY Karbassiyoon says he's itching to show the Burnley fans what he can do after a nightmare start to his Turf Moor career.
The boy from Roanoke in Virginia arrived at Turf Moor in the summer from Arsenal but a mystery pelvic injury wrecked his pre-season and forced him to miss much of the early Clarets' Championship campaign.
And because of the form of fellow newcomer Jon Harley, his action has been limited to just four sub appearances so far - but the former American Under-20 international says he is ready for action when the call comes.
He said: "It's been frustrating. When I came here the squad was small, and still is, and I came hoping to play but then I got the injury at the beginning of the season.
"It took a while to figure out what it was. When they found out what it was and got it sorted, Jon Harley was already here so it's been frustrating.
"But I'm happy that the team are doing well and I've just got to keep pushing on.
"We're pushing to get into the play-offs and if we can and get into the Premiership I can't really complain about that."
But despite his lack of opportunities so far, he said he's loved pulling on the claret and blue shirt and is desperate to do it on a more regular basis.
He said: " Every time I come on I love it. I love the reception the crowd give me all the time.
"But just as much as I want to play, I'm sure they would like to see who I am and what I can do.
"It's frustrating but it's part of the game I guess. Jon (Harley) has come in and done well so I've just got to bide my time.
"Obviously I don't want anything bad to happen to any of the other players but if anything happens I'll be ready to fill in."
