IT'S a while since we jumped on that team coach. Grays Athletic was our last away game, and although that will be 45 days since our last game away from the Interlink Express Stadium, I'm sure no-one has forgotten what a fantastic day that was.
We have to admit that our home form since then has surpassed all of our expectations, having won every single game we've played. While we would have all hoped for maxiumum points, I doubt anyone really expected us to.
But we did it, and we can take so much confidence from that with us to the Shay.
However, I do think our game is more suited to away days anyway because we are a better counter attacking team at the moment, and our defenders are playing really well.
If we can soak up a little bit of pressure and hit teams on the break then we will do all right at Halifax.
I watched them against Southport the other night, and while they were very regimental and very well disciplined, they didn't look as though they had enough to hurt teams.
They lack height, apart from the two centre halves, they have a couple of sharp forwards, but I think if they took Rory Prendergast out of the team they would lack creativity.
It will be nice to see our former winger again.
He's a very talented player but I hope he has an off day on Monday.
The lads will be like kids with new toys because it's such a long time since we travelled.
And Halifax is such a big, nice pitch it will really benefit our game.
Steve Jagielka is our only fitness concern, but he's been on the treatment table this week after picking up a knock on Saturday, and we are hopeful he'll be okay for Boxing Day.
Finally, I'd like to wish Accrington Stanley fans and all Telegraph readers a very Happy Christmas.
I hope you get everything you wish for!
