Three years of hard work and now the Olympic Games are over for us, with a credible result of 11th – only 0.05 sec off 10th place.
Run 3 and 4 weren't the tidiest but we got down through the clock on all four runners – which was proving quite hard today, with the GER2, RUS2 and GBR1 all crashing.
If anyone had asked me two years ago if I would be at the 2010 Winter Olympics, my answer would have been no. My aim was 2014.
I have only been driving for two and a half years and it is my first year on the World Cup.
With our funding getting cut just weeks before we were due to go and compete, it seemed as if bobsleigh was going to be impossible. Bobsleigh is one of the most expensive sports in the world and although I am in the Army my wage alone does not even come close.
Through the British Army, friends, family and people's generosity we managed to get enough money to get us through the first few races. From there we just tried to survive.
When we hit the Olympic target set by the BOA, we were overjoyed - just getting there was against all the odds.
Now having completed all four runs we can finally relax and enjoy the Olympic experience.
Id like to thank everyone who has helped and supported us throughout this year. We hope that we can make our country proud in the next four years!
