IT will be the first time in a long time that Burnley fans will be supporting Blackburn Rovers this week!
Blackburn play Bolton and I think half of the Burnley fans will be supporting Blackburn purely because Owen Coyle left us.
I don’t think our supporters will go as far as turning up at Ewood Park to cheer on Blackburn, but it wouldn’t surprise me!
After a little break without a game Burnley are away to Aston Villa on Sunday and maybe this could be the game to bring Chris Eagles back into the starting line-up.
He has been out of the side for a couple of games and you saw that Robbie Blake came back and did well after he had been left out.
Chris will be keen for his chance and will want to prove he should be in the side.
Brian Laws has looked at our poor results away from home and tried to change things a bit to stop us conceding so many.
You can see that he knows what he wants, but it is not going to happen overnight. It will take time.
He played Danny Fox on the left side of midfield in our last away game at Fulham and that was a funny one.
Danny had a great debut at left back against West Ham a few days earlier but maybe they just wanted a bit more stability in midfield and to have someone in there to win the ball.
The team performance was a bit lethargic, though, and we didn't really create many chances.
That was worrying when you consider the attacking players we have, but I think the away record we have had all season may be on the players’ minds.
Wade Elliott has been our best player for the last couple of years but he has been a bit quiet in the last few weeks.
I’d like to see him get back to attacking people again. It is just down to confidence and I’m sure he will get going again soon.
The trip away to Portugal will have done the squad some good, and I think Brian will have sat down with them and looked at what things need improving.
It will be a difficult game but at Villa but it would be a good time to get something away from home.
We were unlucky not to get three points in the home game against them, when I think they equalised in the last three or four minutes.
It’s hard to say how many points we will need from our last few away games to stay up.
We just need to get one result away from home and hopefully that will lead to a few more after that.
