Lancashire slalom star Dave Ryding will be anxious to impress as he achieves his lifelong dream of skiing at the Winter Olympics.
Dave, 23, honed his talents at Pendle Dry Ski Slope in Whalley, and has been skiing since the age of six, after being encouraged by ski-mad dad Carl.
The Leyland lad soon progressed and was picked for the English Schools Team and took part in the English and British Championships.
He said: “This is the most exciting time of my life.
“Since I was picked for the junior British training squad at 14, I have dreamed about this moment.”
“It’s been a hard few months leading up to the Olympics, but there’s nothing in the world to beat that adrenalin rush.
"I can’t wait!”
