IF we can get 12 points from our next four home games we are nearly there in terms of survival - and I think we can do it.
After our home victory against West Ham on Saturday, we have got four more games coming up at Turf Moor now that we can win - against Portsmouth, Stoke, Wolves and Blackburn.
We have had a good home record all season and teams find it difficult here, so it could be realistic to get 12 points.
I’d like to see us pick up some more points away from home and if we do that I think we will survive, but if we can get those 12 points at home we would have almost enough points already.
Danny Fox certainly had a great debut against West Ham with his goal.
I never scored on my debut during my career, but Danny put that free kick in the top corner and it really was a superb performance from him.
The person who springs to mind when you think of great debuts is Andy Payton, who I think scored on his debut at every club he was at.
I had a surprise on Saturday because I had just turned on the television when they showed my goal against Leyton Orient on Football Focus. It is always nice to see it.
It was good to see the BBC hosting Football Focus at Turf Moor and the club getting so much recognition again this season.
Hopefully we can stay up and go from strength to strength.
In a way the club was forgotten about for a long time and Blackburn were getting the attention because of Jack Walker and winning the league.
Brian Laws has said that he will have start making decisions about players out of contract soon and I hear that there are 11 players in that situation.
It is something Brian has got do as a manager but it will probably be the hardest thing he has to do here - making decisions on players so soon after arriving.
A lot will depend on whether we stay in the Premier League or not, so maybe he should delay decisions for as long as possible.
You’d like to think that the players we want to keep would be happy to stay whether we’re in the Premier League or the Championship next season.
I’m sure Brian will look to bring in his own players in to replace the ones who don’t get contracts, too.
I hope Robbie Blake gets a new deal, though.
He is 33 now and may not play every game next year, but he can still be a big asset to Burnley.
He’s a player that can make an impact and produce something.
I would keep him for another year.
