SAM Allardyce says Blackburn have had no other offers for any of their players this month but admits you ‘never say never’ in a transfer window.

The Rovers boss revealed yesterday West Ham’s bid for Benni McCarthy was the only one they have had for any of their squad over the last few weeks and insisted Morten Gamst Pedersen is “going nowhere”.

Allardyce did though refuse to rule out the possibility of any more departures before the window closes at 5pm on Monday, admitting the next few days could bring about the unexpected.

He said: “The only bid we have had is the bid for Benni. After that, no bids for anyone else. We have a few loan enquiries, not first team level though.

“I wouldn’t say never though. At this late stage of the mayhem and madness you never know what might pop out.

“Something may change the whole outlook of our squad by someone coming along with a ridiculous amount of money you couldn’t refuse because they were in a panic situation.

“You never want to be in a panic situation because it is then you make the worst selections and the worst choices. We are not in a panic.

“I am very comfortable with the squad.

“If no other player comes our way, I am very content with the squad we have got.”
