FORMER Burnley striker Phil Eastwood is due to make his first return to Rossendale United tomorrow since his time as the club’s manager was terminated by mutual consent at the end of last season.
Eastwood was player-manager at Dark Lane last season but left after the Stags finished bottom of UniBond First Division North – even though they avoided relegation because of a league reshuffle.
The 31-year-old former Blackburn Rovers trainee, who went on to appear for Burnley’s first team between 1997 and 1999, has since joined Bamber Bridge as a player and his new side are scheduled to visit Rossendale tomorrow for a league fixture.
Rossendale are bottom of the table again this season with nine points from 21 games during the campaign so far.
