BLACKBURN Rovers striker Benni McCarthy has moved closer to completing his move to West Ham United after agreeing a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Hammers.
Rovers accepted a bid from West Ham earlier today and McCarthy has now finalised personal terms, although the South African is still to undergo a medical.
Sam Allardyce is now hoping to reinforce his squad before the end of the transfer window and it is understood that Stuttgart's Turkish midfielder Yildiray Basturk was at Rovers' Brockhall training ground today.
