COLNE threw away a 1-0 half time lead for the second time in four days.
Having lead against Leigh Genesis before crashing out of the LFA Co-Op Trophy in midweek, it was points that slipped through their grasp second time around.
Joe Garvin put the visitors 1-0 up from the spot but Colne should have led by more at the break with Michael Cruz missing an earlier penalty and Matt Tindall hitting the post with the follow-up.
But it was a different story in the second half as Congleton sealed victory thanks two goals each from Matt Rhead and Scott Dundas.
