PADIHAM finally returned to action following an enforced winter break in the best possible way.
The Storks have been out of action since December 12 but showed little sign of rustiness with a battling display.
Lee Morris fired Padiham in front in the 27th minute when a free kick by Robbie Smith was headed back across goal for Morris to finish off.
But Chris Smith equalised for the visitors five minutes before half time when he added the final touch to a run and cross from Adam Pegg as the teams went in level at the break.
However, Damien Morrison restored Padiham’s lead with a wonderful long range effort that flew beyond the out-stretched Alan Osbourne in the Flixton goal in the 54th minute.
And the points were sealed late in the game when Stuart Telfor chipped from outside the area in the 80th minute before Robert Grimes added the fourth in stoppage time.
