August 15, 1970
This day was a big one for the reformed club. It was their first Lancashire Combination game - and in front of the mayor of Accrington and 620 others, Stanley won 2-1 with goals from John Nuttall and Alan Davies.

Stanley 1 Crewe 6

December 5, 1992
(FA Cup second round). After beating Conference outfit Gateshead in the first round, HFS Loans League side Stanley drew Crewe Alexandra in round two. They switched the tie to Ewood Park and 10,801 turned out to cheer the Reds, who were strapped for cash at the time. But there was to be no fairytale as Alex won 6-1.

Stanley 2 Scunthorpe 3

November 14, 1993
(FA Cup first round). Stanley drew the league outfit at home but were forced to switch the tie to Turf Moor. Almost 6,000 turned out but Scunny won the tie in stoppage time.

Woking 0 Stanley 1

April 5, 2006
Stanley legend Paul Mullin scored the only goal as the Reds clinched the Conference title and promotion into the Football League, a remarkable achievement considering the current incarnation of the club was only formed in 1968.
