BLACKBURN Rovers are just two games from a major cup final at Wembley, the greatest sporting arena in the world.
The town should be buzzing, with fans gearing up for the semi-final first leg clash against Aston Villa tomorrow.
It’s a tie Rovers can realistically win, given their record at Ewood Park over the past 30 games.
But only 11,500 Blackburn fans have so far bought a ticket for the televised Carling Cup game.
Now this isn’t an attack on those who are opting for the comfort of the armchair tomorrow rather than cheer their team from the stands.
Recent displays, especially the defeat against Manchester City, have been woeful, and nobody can blame fans for staying away.
The players must take responsibility for that.
But tomorrow isn’t the night to protest. It’s a night when everyone - the manager, the players, the fans - have to unite.
Rovers haven’t played at Wembley for 15 years, but the cup final is in sight. The dream is on.
Get yourself to Ewood tomorrow and roar your team on.
They need you now.
