ACCRINGTON Stanley progressed to the third round of the FA Cup with a replay victory at Barnet tonight.

Bobby Grant scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute when he found the net right-footed from 12 yards after Billy Kee's effort had been blocked.

Kee and Barnet's John O'Flynn had chances to score before half time, while Jimmy Ryan saw his 20-yard volley hit the outside of the post.

And Stanley had a number of chances to make it 2-0 after the interval as they repeatedly caught the increasingly desperate Barnet on the break.

Michael Symes was twice denied by Bees keeper Jake Cole, while Ryan fired wide and Sean McConville had a goal disallowed, but Stanley did not pay for their profligacy as they secured a third-round tie at home to Gillingham on January 2.
