ROSSENDALE finally ended three months without a league win with a morale boosting victory.
And the first win in 14 attempts was made all the more sweeter as they climbed off the foot of UniBond First Division North following Harrogate Railway’s defeat to Rossendale. Late goals from Alex Leke - who received a second yellow card and was sent off for his celebrations - and Jason Hart put the Stags on course for victory but it was a nervy wait after Fylde pulled a goal back in stoppage time.
Dale, who gave a debut to Leonard Rico-Richards, broke the deadlock in the 78th minute through Leke before Hart doubled the lead with four minutes remaining.
And despite Ryan Elderton’s injury time strike, the Stags held on for victory.
