NELSON’S FA Vase hopes are over for another season after slipping to a heavy defeat in the North East.
The Northern League Division Two side, unbeaten at home this season, took the lead on 14 minutes through Roberts Jones with Derek Bradley made it 2-0 three minutes later.
Nelson started the second half brightly but went 3-0 down when Owen Dixon scored on the hour.
Daniel Brunskill and Stuart Jackson completed the scoring.
