Ramsbottom United hope to dedicate a derby victory over Padiham to Matt Edgington.
The Rams winger is still in a serious condition in Hope Hospital after he was attacked on a night out in Manchester at the weekend.
Third-placed Rammy take on Padiham looking to clinch the double having won 3-1 at the Arbories in October – a game where Edgington came on off the bench and scored twice.
“All are thoughts are with Matty and his family,” said player/manager Anthony Johnson.
“Clinching the double would be a fitting dedication to him as he played such a part in victory at their place.”
“Obviously it’s difficult but we are trying not to let the situation get us down and that is what Matt would want.
“We’re up to third place in the table and we need to stay strong.”
